stARTSPEAK is an innovative three year project designed to close the digital divide for people with complex disabilities.
Using an informed iterative design process – tools, software and training have been developed and delivered to facilitate individual and collective artistic expression by people with complex high support needs. Inkubator is a key project partner, involved from inception to the final delivery of an accessible iPad App and community website that facilitates exposure to, and creation of expressive works. An online community gallery that curates works submitted through the app has also been created to facilitate participation in digital culture.
stARTSPEAK Touch & Create is available for download on the App Store.
The project is a partnership between DADAA WA, Disability Services Commission, Independent Living Centre and Inkubator and is the recipient of a 3 year Department of Communities Social Innovation grant.
